Additionally, there are a lot of templates to choose from — over 500 — and they are introduced in easy-to-understand classes, so it’s generally pretty simple to find a good starting point to get a template and edit it before you are happy with the plan.
If you’re really not pleased with the templates offered by Getresponse, there’s also the option of purchasing a template from a third party provider such as Theme Forest.
Another thing worth pointing out regarding Getresponse’s templates is the assortment of RSS-to-email applications options aren’t very extensive (only 11 templates are provided – well short of their 700+ available for routine newsletters!) You may buy the Landing Pages feature as an add-on to get an additional $15 a month, but quite frustratingly, although the add-on allows you to show an infinite amount of landing pages to prospective subscribers, it does not consist of A/B testing.
Therefore, if I was interested in the Getresponse landing page functionality, I would not bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I’d just go for a few of the pricier plans (which I guess is exactly what Getresponse would like you to do!) .

The most glaring omission is email activity tracking. There’s currently no way of doing this with the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an simple way to send one-to-one mails to prospects or clients.

Finally, adding contacts into a pipeline stage is tough. You need to add contacts to a list first, then visit the CRM pipeline, add a bargain and search your lists for the contact you just added. You should just be able to put in a deal directly to a pipeline and then enter the contact details of your guide or client at the point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is a bit half-baked. But that said, it’s a new feature and the things it could perform on the automation side is impressive. I’m hopeful that this attribute becomes developed over time since done right, it is potentially a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the ability to sponsor webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are generally utilized as a lead-generation strategy, the idea of getting your email database and your webinar tool under the exact same roof is very appealing.
The pricing is also very competitive too compared to based webinar solutions. I do have to pull Getresponse on one thing relating to deliverability however: to ensure a high deliverability rate, it’s a good idea to use a system named DKIM email authentication. You can use DKIM using Getresponse – but only on the more expensive Getresponse’Max’ plans.
Though I have not encountered any deliverability problems using the cheaper plans, competing goods do not make you invest in a more expensive strategy to avail of the feature — it’d be useful to see Getresponse becoming more generous here.
There are two approaches you can employ to add subscribers to a mailing list: having a’only opt-in’ or a’double click’ process.
If you use use one opt-in procedure, the person signing up to your own mailing list is added to your mailing list the moment they hit the submit button on your sign up form.
Using a double opt-in process, the person registering to your record is sent via an email containing a confirmation link that s/he have to click before being subscribed.

Whilst its drag-and-drop approach does in theory provide an extremely flexible approach to create blocks of articles and move them about an e-newsletter, in practice it’s fairly clunky to use and can cause accidental deletion of material, or placement of it in the incorrect part of the e-newsletter.
If you’re able to get your head about it, and practice using it a bit, it will make for a useful tool – it’s just that the implementation of it could be somewhat better.
Also, as explained above, the CRM tool could be far better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals can be difficult.
The 30-day complimentary trial which Getresponse supplies is fully operational and the free trial isn’t contingent upon providing credit card details.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for that trial and today I am getting charged for a product that I don’t use” scenario.

It’s also worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers thinner pricing rings, meaning that based on how big your list, it might occasionally be a slightly cheaper option than Getresponse.
In the smaller database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is pretty competitive too – you can host a database containing 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month with Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (infinite send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee for a 1,000 recording database is the like Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a marginally more affordable, if much less functional offering for $12 a month.
