Landing page Builder

You may purchase the Landing Pages feature as an add-on for an additional $15 a month, but quite frustratingly, although the add-on permits you to show an unlimited amount of landing pages to prospective subscribers, it does not consist of A/B testing.
Therefore, if I had been interested in the Getresponse landing page functionality, I wouldn’t bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I’d just go for one of the more expensive programs (which I suppose is exactly what Getresponse want one to do!) .

The CRM is now integrated with all Getresponse’s email marketing functionality and you can add users to a CRM pipeline according to their activity (form completions, email opens, purchases etc.) or activate autoresponders depending on the addition of a new contact to a pipeline stage.
An example of how to use this operation would be as follows:
It is possible to add a contact to a particular point on a sales pipeline depending on the page of your site that they finished a form ;
you can then send them a automated email tailored to this pipeline period a couple of days afterwards;

But, it is not all fantastic news on the CRM front — there are a few big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM attribute collection.
The most glaring omission is e mail activity tracking. Other CRM packages permit you to bcc a dropbox email address whenever you send an email to some lead or client; doing so keeps a list of the communication from the contact’s history. There is currently no way of doing this with the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an simple way to send one-to-one emails to prospects or clients.
And strangely, when you click a contact in a deal pipeline, you can not see their contact action — i.e., the activities they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) in regards to previous communications that you’ve delivered to your prospects are not displayed. To observe this, you have to go from the CRM part of Getresponse, hunt for your contact in the contacts section and click in their details. But guess what? Doing this does not display their deal history.
Task management is non-existent also: unlike committed CRM tools, there’s no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Finally, adding contacts to your pipeline stage is difficult. You have to add contacts to a list , then go to the CRM pipeline, include a bargain and search your lists for the contact you just added. From a usability point of view this is extremely clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to add a deal right to a pipeline and enter the contact information of your lead or customer at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. However, it’s a new attribute and the stuff it could do on the automation aspect is remarkable. I am optimistic that this feature becomes developed over time since done right, it is possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the ability to sponsor webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are usually used as a lead-generation strategy, the idea of getting your email database along with your webinar tool under precisely the same roof is extremely appealing.
The pricing is also very aggressive too compared to established webinar solutions. I really do have to pull Getresponse up on one thing concerning deliverability however: to ensure a high deliverability rate, it’s a good idea to use a platform called DKIM email authentication. You can use DKIM with Getresponse – but only on the costlier Getresponse’Max’ plans.
Although I have not struck any deliverability problems utilizing the cheaper plans, competing goods do not make you invest in a more expensive strategy to avail of this feature — it would be useful to see Getresponse being more generous here.
There are two methods you can use to add subscribers to a mailing list: having a’only opt-in’ or a’double opt-in’ process.
If you utilize a single opt-in process, the individual signing up to your own mailing list is added to a mailing list the minute they hit the submit button on your sign up form.
Using a double opt-in procedure, the individual signing up to your record is sent via an email containing a confirmation link that s/he must click before being subscribed.
The most important advantage of a single sampling procedure is that it makes it really easy for users to sign up for a mailing list; it also generally increases conversion rate and so the amount of subscribers on your list. A double opt-in process is best for verifying the folks subscribing to a record are using actual email addresses and contributes to cleaner data and more accurate stats (because receptive rates etc. are calculated based on a list comprising only real email addresses).
The fantastic news here is that Getresponse permits you to take advantage of either opt-in approach – this isn’t the case with all competing products. So a thumbs up for Getresponse for being flexible about this.
You’re probably thinking that this sounds pretty fine — but to be honest, I think there’s a lot of room for improvement with respect to Getresponse kind templates.
For a start, they’re not responsive (i.e., they won’t resize themselves automatically to match the device they’re being watched on).
Additionally, no controllers are provided by Getresponse to change forms on or off on specific devices or individual pages of your site. In the light of Google’s brand new approach to pop-ups (where sites can take a hit in search results if they exhibit’intrusive interstitials’ on mobile devices) this is a small concern.
To get around this, I generally avoid using Getresponse form templates, and make do with HTML embeded forms that I style myself, and for popups I link my Getresponse to a growth-hacking instrument named Sumo (this allows me to switch pop-ups off for cellular users, in addition to display forms exactly as I’d love to and onto the webpages I want). On the whole, Getresponse is really simple to use. It’s certainly easy enough to perform all of the fundamentals: import contacts, create campaigns, setup autoresponders and check statistics and the interface is pretty clean and intuitive.

1 area I feel that could be significantly better from a user-friendliness point of view is that the Getresponse e-newsletter editor.
Whilst its drag-and-drop approach does in theory provide an extremely flexible way to create blocks of articles and transfer them around an e-newsletter, in practice it’s quite clunky to use and may lead to accidental deletion of content, or positioning of it in the incorrect part of the e-newsletter.
If you’re able to get your head around it, and practice using it a little bit, it will make for a helpful instrument – it’s only that the implementation of it might be somewhat better.
Also, as described above, the CRM tool could be far better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals can be difficult.
The 30-day complimentary trial which Getresponse supplies is completely functional and the free trial isn’t contingent upon supplying credit card details.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for that trial and now I am getting charged for a commodity I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to this free trial is the fact that it restricts the number of subscribers you can send to to 1000. It would be useful if that could be raised a little, as it would help prospective users try the tool out in more’real world’ scenarios.

The only well-known service I can think of that comes from significantly cheaper is Mad Mimi, which costs $42 a month to sponsor up to 10,000 email addresses (note however that the performance provided by Mad Mimi is nowhere near as extensive as Getresponse’s or really another products mentioned above).
It’s also worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers thinner pricing rings, meaning that based on the size of your list, it might occasionally be a slightly cheaper option than Getresponse.
In the database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is pretty competitive too – you can host a database containing 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month using Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (unlimited send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee to get a 1,000 record database will be exactly the same as Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a slightly cheaper, if less functional offering for $12 per month.
Two final things to be aware of about the pricing front:
Some competing suppliers — especially Mailchimp – provide completely free accounts for users that have a few records (but these don’t supply the entire range of features that you get on a paid plan).
As stated before, if you’re prepared to pay upfront for 1 or two years, you can avail of substantial discounts the other competitors do not yet provide.
