Background Pure360 Email Marketing

MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?

Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.

Like most email marketing providers these days, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information like your company name, site, Industry, address, business size, list size and also the kind of material you intend to send.
Then, you need to verify your Website (or domain ).
This remains part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is related to that domain so they could email you a confirmation link.
As Soon as You’ve completed these Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, assess your Site, and ascertain whether you’re a fantastic match for their services.
(In other words, they are making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll still be Able to use the software to make campaigns and perform with the features, but you won’t have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here’s what the email said:
However, while these steps are not perfect for getting started, it Does help stop malicious users from damaging everyone else’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to Deal with The majority of your email advertising.
(We’ll get to automations shortly, do not worry.)
But whether it is a brand new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always some excuse to send a more instant email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Create Campaign’ will provide you several options.
– Regular campaign: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from title and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Do not start your broadcast email, with the option of altering the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to readers using your website’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few additional choices, the Majority of these will follow The same step-by-step process of a normal effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your effort, you’ll be requested to Pick a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and select from among the pre-designed email templates — which will move you into the dragn’ drop editor by default.
At the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to select From which is somewhat on the low side, but the layouts are super modern.
And, of course, if you would just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I’ll choose the first template in the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Making viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the cubes in the sidebar to add distinct Types of articles to your email, such as videos, merchandise columns, and social connections.
After making your adjustments, just click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you are able to select your groups or segments.
The tab also allows you To build segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting isn’t quite perfect.
Finally, before sending, then you’ll get into the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, whether that’s immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Pure360 Email Marketing
Handling Your Clients
Possessing granular control over your subscribers is arguably one of The most important facets of any email advertising program today.
Because highly personalized campaigns Are Essential if You’re looking to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”label” subscribers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically principles.
Your readers belong to a section only when they fulfill the Specified principles, and are automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here’s what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice how you can also blend Rules, in addition to another rule if the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for classes, and despite the difference in name, These act much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it.)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — which we’ll get to in a minute — and they have no value aside from what you actually call them.
As you start to use this platform, you’ll Start to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re uncertain:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to bulge multiple subscribers together based on a common denominator.
A tad confusing, I’ll admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. Besides, they are optional.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own areas, such as name, company, and nation.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your readers along with Your custom field information in distinct columns… or can simply add these fields to a forms which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I made and added into a form:
I won’t go too much to the shape Stuff here because I have an entire section on that below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wished to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve gathered your custom field information from new Subscribers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Custom field.
I am barely scratching the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it’s important that you understand that this is a feature you can use.
Overall, it is reasonable to state MailerLite has their contributor Management and personalization features on stage. Pure360 Email Marketing
If you’re not impressed with what you’ve seen so far, then perhaps The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you’ll be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, it does offer a fantastic base to work from if, like most of us, you do not have that pure eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all ultimately do the identical job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further build or change your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual page builders, and this is already better than some dedicated solutions *Infection * WPBakery.
Along with the basic building blocks, you can use components like Hero segments, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime soon, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all 3 kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite actually offers a Adequate pair of type building tools.
Also, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover .
Let us start with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then place on your site to show it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer allows you To customize everything in the form style, subjects, background, title, input fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which Provides you a Opportunity To envision your own copy in real time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there’s more to some form than just its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure how the Form works, including adding extra fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There is a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, That can replace the embedded kind and prevents users from redirecting.
Last but surely not least, you Can assess how your form screens on cellular by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes here, but it makes Sense to test, nevertheless.
So that’s an Summary of this Embedded form but as I said before, you may even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of this setup process is identical, you will find Still a few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded kinds, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive selection, they do offer a fantastic foundation to work from and the editor is at least as easy to use for this form kind.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template requires me into a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new options under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid programs such as Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to observe this level of control over popup types.
And, like before, you can play with the styling options to get it Matched with your branding.
Finally, you can Select the near Behavior of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
This is really where most email Marketing platforms would leave you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Statistics in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click info, Subscriber development, automation analytics, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific coverage for that effort.
This is where you’ll find some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into individual areas of this report to get a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
For example, the’View Mail’ tab also shows a click map, so You can see your readers interacted to another.
Reports for automations are Available under the’Automations’ tab, even though I found these to be less enlightening than effort reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and many will get the available data more than sufficient to meet their demands.
What is email marketing without a dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this particular review.
The great news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, You will immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for every email advertising program.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding steps to your workflow.
These measures could be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an act, such as moving a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it’s not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.)
For Instance, there’s currently no automation for transferring Readers directly into another automation.
That being said, most of these actions can Nevertheless Be achieved by moving Subscribers into different classes that trigger new automation workflows. It’s just much less efficient…. yet.
Another question of efficiency here is when creating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you’ll be asked to put in your subject line that appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back into the automations workflow rather than the usual sending options.
Finally, your email address will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, which means you can get an concept about what it contains at a glimpse.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on newspaper, it is actually much quicker than what I am utilized to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you have come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, so you will probably find that this downgrade in performance.
It’s quick enough for me, Personally, but I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there is one type of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and that I think it’s important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or step) based on how Subscribers interact with the pages on your site.
This kind of behavioral targeting only is not available in MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or intend to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Pure360 Email Marketing
The cost of MailerLite is one of the tools biggest Selling points, and let’s face it, we all love a good bargain.
For starters, they offer an unlimited free plan that includes All features (including premium) to get as many as 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your emails using this program, it is still an wonderful alternative for anyone starting out.
And what about the top plans?
It turns out, at around half the Price of the competition generally, MailerLite is by far one of the cheapest options on the industry. Additionally, if you’re ready to pay annually, you can also get a much better discount.
In Reality, I have not been able to find anything that does the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among the email marketing tools The (very crowded) sector in recent years, which is no easy feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
All in all, I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and at a price point you will seriously struggle to beat.
Thinking of giving it a spin? Let us know how it works for you From the remarks. Pure360 Email Marketing
