Introduction Mailerlite Contact Form 7

MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?

Like most email marketing providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, site, Industry, address, business size, list size and even the type of material you intend to send.
Then, You Have to confirm your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of this acceptance process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to that domain in order that they can email you a confirmation link.
Once you’ve completed those Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Website, and ascertain whether you’re a good match for their service.
(In other words, they are making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As revealed above, you’ll still be Able to use the software to create campaigns and perform with the features, but you won’t have the ability to send anything before accepted.
I was”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
However, while these steps aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help stop unscrupulous users from damaging everyone else’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle The majority of your email marketing.
(We’ll get to automations shortly, do not worry.)
But whether it is a new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always a reason to send a more immediate email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Produce Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular effort: A traditional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Variations, such as subject line, from name and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Do not open your broadcast email, together with the choice of changing the subject line and email content.
– RSS effort: Create a recurring campaign That sends new content to readers using your site’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few additional options, the Majority of these will follow The exact same step-by-step procedure of a normal effort.
So let us walk you through it.
As Soon as You click on to create your effort, you’ll be asked to Pick a preferred editor, whether that be the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and choose from one of their pre-designed email templates — that will move you to the dragn’ drop editor by default.
In the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, but the designs are super modern.
And, of course, if you’d just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I will choose the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Making customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also use the cubes in the sidebar to add distinct Types of content to your email, including videos, product columns, and social links.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you can select your classes or segments.
The advanced tab also allows you To build segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting isn’t quite perfect.
Finally, right before sending, you’ll get into the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that’s instantly, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.
Impressive, right? Mailerlite Contact Form 7
Managing Your Clients
Having granular control over your readers is arguably among The most essential aspects of any email marketing software today.
Because highly personalized efforts Are Essential if You’re looking to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different strategy.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your readers belong to a section only when they meet the Specified principles, and are automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here’s what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can also combine Principles, in addition to an alternate rule when the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and despite the difference in name, These behave much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but finally decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are updated manually or via an Automation rule — which we’ll get into in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you actually call them.
As you Begin to use this platform, you’ll begin to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, however, MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re uncertain:
Basically, groups are more of a Deliberate action on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to bulge multiple contributors collectively based on a frequent denominator.
A tad confusing, I will admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. In any case, they are discretionary.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular fields, such as name, business, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers along with Your custom field information in distinct columns… or may easily add these fields to a forms which will only apply to prospective readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I made and added to a form:
I won’t go too much into the form Things here because I have a whole section on that below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field information from fresh Subscribers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I am barely scratching the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it is important to understand that this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it is reasonable to state MailerLite has their subscriber Direction and personalization features on stage. Mailerlite Contact Form 7
If you’re not impressed by what you have seen so far, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you will be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Is not winning any awards, but it will offer a great foundation to work from if, like most of us, you do not have that natural eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all finally do the identical job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further construct or change your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual site builders, and it is already better than some dedicated alternatives *Infection * WPBakery.
Along with the basic building blocks, you can use elements like Hero segments, popup buttons, testimonials and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all 3 form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite actually Provides a Decent set of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there is a whole lot to cover .
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then place on your website to show it on particular pages.
Despite starting off super basic, the form designer allows you To customize everything from the kind style, fields, background, title, enter fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which Provides you a chance To visualize your copy in real time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates here, but as you know, there’s more to a form than just its physical appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure the way the Form functions, including adding extra fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There’s a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success page…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, Which can replace the embedded form and prevents users .
Last but certainly not least, you Can check the way your form screens on mobile by shifting the toggle to reactive mode.
You won’t be able to make any layout changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an Summary of this Embedded form but like I said before, you can even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of the installation Procedure is identical, you will find Still a few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive selection, they do offer a good foundation to work from and the editor is just as easy to use for this form type.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template requires me to a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new choices under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to see this level of control over popup types.
And, like before, you can perform with the styling options to get it Matched with your own branding.
Last, you can Select the close Behaviour of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is that the X icon, but you can swap this out for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
This is where most email Marketing platforms would render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Statistics in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click data, Subscriber development, automation analytics, and form signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special coverage for this effort.
This is where you’ll find some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into different areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also displays a click map, so You can see your subscribers interacted to another.
Reports for automations are Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and many will get the available statistics more than enough to meet their demands.
What is email advertising with no dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this particular review.
The great news? If you’ve used a visual workflow builder, then You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can not be said for each and every email marketing program.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These steps could be anything from sending an email, including a Postpone, a bubble break, or an action, such as moving a subscriber or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should have no trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s now no automation for moving Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, the Majority of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various classes that activate new automation workflows. It is just much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficiency here is when creating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you’ll be asked to add your subject line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve created your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you straight back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Finally, your email address will be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, which means it’s possible to find an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it is actually much quicker than what I’m used to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded inside the automations builder, you will likely find that this downgrade in functionality.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, however I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there is one Kind of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and that I think that it’s important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or measure ) based on how Readers interact with the webpages on your site.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just isn’t available in MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to utilize, you might want to skip this one. Mailerlite Contact Form 7
The cost of MailerLite is no doubt one of those tools biggest Selling points, and let us face it, we all love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) to get up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your emails using this program, it is still an amazing alternative for those starting out.
And what about the top programs?
It ends up, at around half of the Price of this rivalry on average, MailerLite is by far among the cheapest options available on the market. Additionally, if you’re willing to pay annually, you are also able to get an even better discount.
In Reality, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among the email marketing tools to interrupt The (very crowded) sector in recent years, and that’s no easy feat.
While it’s not as quickly as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
All in all, I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to beat.
Thinking of giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you In the remarks. Mailerlite Contact Form 7
