Introduction Insurance Email Marketing Templates
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Insurance Email Marketing Templates
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like most online businesses now, email advertising continues to be Dominated by the same large players for the last ten years. Which means that they get encouraged very deeply and accomplish a great deal of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the marketplace, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done precisely that.
So now, in this review, I’ll be ripping MailerLite from limb To limb to find out whether it really stands its ground against the big boys…

Like most email marketing providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the software.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, site, Business, address, business size, record size and also the kind of content you intend to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of this approval process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is associated to this domain in order that they could email you a confirmation link.
As Soon as You’ve completed these Measures, you ought to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, assess your Site, and determine whether you are a fantastic fit for their service.
(Quite simply, they’re making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll still be Able to utilize the software to create campaigns and perform with the features, but you will not have the ability to send anything before approved.
I was”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
However, while these measures aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help prevent malicious users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to handle The majority of your email marketing.
(We will get to automations soon, do not worry.)
But whether it’s a new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always a reason to send a more immediate email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Produce Campaign’ will provide you several options.
– Regular effort: A traditional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from title and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Do not open your broadcast email, together with the option of changing the subject line and email content.
– RSS campaign: Produce a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to subscribers using your website’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few additional choices, the Majority of these will follow Exactly the same step-by-step process of a normal effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
As Soon as You click on to create your effort, you’ll be requested to Select a favorite editor, whether that be the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and choose from one of their pre-designed email templates — which will move you into the dragn’ drop editor by default.
In the time of writing, there are 21 email templates to select From which is somewhat on the low side, however, the designs are super modern.
And, of course, if you would just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I’ll select the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Which makes customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the blocks in the sidebar to add different Kinds of articles to your email, including videos, merchandise columns, and societal links.
After making your changes, simply click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you can choose your groups or sections.
The tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting is not quite right.
Finally, before sending, then you’ll get into the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that is instantly, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Insurance Email Marketing Templates
Managing Your Subscribers
Possessing granular control over your subscribers is arguably one of The most important facets of any email marketing program now.
Because highly personalized efforts are necessary if You are searching to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your own conversions.
And while many providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dashboard, you’ll see two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically principles.
Your readers belong to a section only when they fulfill the Specified rules, and will be automatically inserted or eliminated accordingly.
Here’s what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice how you can even blend Rules, in addition to an alternate rule when the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for classes, and also the difference in name, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but finally decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are updated manually or through an Automation principle — that we’ll get to in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you actually call them.
As you Begin to use this platform, you’ll Start to understand Where Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re uncertain:
Fundamentally, groups are more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments permit you to bulge multiple contributors collectively according to a frequent denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I’ll admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they’re discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular fields, such as title, company, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your readers together with Your custom field data in separate columns… or may simply add these fields to your types which will only apply to future subscribers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I made and added to a form:
I will not go too much into the form Stuff here because I have an entire section on this below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field information from fresh Subscribers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scratching the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it is important that you know this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it is reasonable to say MailerLite has their subscriber Management and personalization features on point. Insurance Email Marketing Templates
If you are not impressed by what you have seen up to Now, then maybe The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you’ll be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Is not winning any awards, it will offer a great foundation to work from if, for example most people, you do not have that natural eye for design.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all ultimately do the same task; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further construct or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual site builders, and it is better than a few dedicated solutions *Infection * WPBakery.
Along with the basic building blocks, you can use components like Hero segments, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
No, it will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime soon, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all three form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite really Provides a Decent set of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there’s a lot to cover .
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to display it on particular pages.
Despite beginning super basic, the form designer allows you To personalize everything in the form style, fields, background, name, input fields and, of course, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which Provides you a chance To visualize your copy in real time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates here, but as you know, there’s more to a form than simply its physical appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure the way the Form functions, including adding extra fields and setting a custom success page.
(There is a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And talking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also enables you to customize the default message, That can replace the embedded kind and prevents users .
Last but surely not least, you Can assess the way your form screens on cellular by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any layout changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an overview of the Embedded form but as I said before, you can even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this installation process is identical, you will find A few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded kinds, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive selection, they do offer a good foundation to work from and the editor is at least as simple to use for this form type.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template requires me to a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new choices under form types Now around:
Contemplating paid tools like Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to see this amount of control over popup types.
And, like before, you can perform with the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Finally, you can Select the close Behavior of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is that the X icon, but you can swap this out for A”No thanks” text option, or have both.
This is where most email Marketing platforms would leave you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber development, automation stats, and kind signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific reporting for that campaign.
This is where you’ll find a few more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying surroundings, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into different areas of the report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
By Way of Example, the’View Mail’ tab also displays a click map, so It’s possible to see your subscribers interacted to one another.
Reports for automations will also be Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, although I found to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and most will find the available statistics more than enough to fulfill their needs.
What’s email advertising without a dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The good news? If you’ve used a visual workflow builder, You will immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for every email advertising software.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding steps to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an act, such as transferring a contributor or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed when they do not open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should have no trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it’s not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For example, there’s currently no automation for transferring Subscribers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that activate new automation workflows. It’s just much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficacy here is when creating new mails From the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your subject line that appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve created your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you straight back into the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Ultimately, your email will be Loaded into your own automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email within your automation block, which means it’s possible to get an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this process may seem like A grind on paper, it is really much faster than what I’m utilized to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you have come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you will probably find that this downgrade in functionality.
It’s quick enough for me, Personally, however I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there is one Kind of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and that I think it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or step) based on the way Readers interact with all the webpages on your website.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just isn’t accessible MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or intend to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Insurance Email Marketing Templates
The cost of MailerLite is no doubt among those tools largest Selling points, and let’s face it, we all love a fantastic bargain.
For starters, they offer an unlimited free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) for as many as 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your emails using this program, it’s still an wonderful alternative for those starting out.
And what about the top plans?
It turns out, at around half of the Cost of the rivalry generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the cheapest options on the industry. Additionally, if you’re ready to pay yearly, you are also able to get an even better discount.
In Reality, I have not been able to find anything that does exactly the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among those few email marketing tools The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of years, which is no simple feat.
While it’s not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
Overall, I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and at a price point you will seriously struggle to beat.
