If you’re serious about landing pages – plus they’re unquestionably a useful attribute – then it’s definitely worth looking at one of the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You can purchase the Landing Pages feature as an add-on to get an extra $15 a month, however very frustratingly, although the add-on permits you to show an unlimited amount of landing pages to prospective subscribers, it doesn’t consist of A/B testing.

Among the most frustrating aspects of using many well-known CRM tools is the necessity to export information to CSV and back to your email marketing tool in order to do mailouts (or the necessity to export info from your email marketing tool into your CRM to include leads to it).
When I watched Getresponse recently introducing a new CRM feature in their plans I had been intrigued – this could possibly do away with all that info exporting and importing, and keep everything neatly in one area.
Initially I wasn’t that impressed with the Getresponse CRM tool since you can only use it to carry out quite basic jobs: you can create sales pipelines, add contacts to them and monitor activity (emails, telephone calls etc.) with those contacts manually.
But recently Getresponse have upped their video game a bit on this front. The CRM is currently integrated with all of Getresponse’s email marketing operation and you can add users into a CRM pipeline based on their action (form completions, email opens, purchases etc.) or activate autoresponders depending on the addition of a new contact to a pipeline phase.
An example of how you could use this operation would be as follows:
It is possible to add a contact to a particular point on a sales pipeline based on the page of your website they completed a form ;
you could then send a automated email tailored to this pipeline stage a couple of days afterwards;
and based on the actions they took in regards to that email (clicking on a particular link ) you can automatically move them on another stage of the pipeline and invite invite them to a webinar.

The most glaring omission is email activity monitoring. There’s currently no method of doing so together with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one emails to leads or customers.
And strangely, if you click a contact within a bargain pipeline, you can’t see their contact activity — i.e., the activities they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) with regard to previous communications which you’ve delivered to your prospects are not displayed. To see this, you have to go out of the CRM part of Getresponse, search for your own contact in the contacts section and click on their details. But guess what? Doing so does not display their history.
Task management is non-existent too: Unlike dedicated CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Finally, adding contacts to a pipeline stage is tough. You have to add contacts to a list , then go to the CRM pipeline, add a bargain and search your lists to receive the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is very clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to add a deal directly to a pipeline and enter the contact details of your lead or customer at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. But that said, it’s a new attribute and the things it can perform on the automation aspect is remarkable. I am hopeful that this feature gets developed over time since done right, it is possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the ability to host webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are generally used as a lead-generation strategy, the notion of getting your email database and your webinar tool under the same roof is very attractive.
The pricing is also very aggressive too by comparison to established webinar solutions. For instance, among the leading webinar services, Gotowebinar, fees $199 per month to host webinars with up to 500 attendees; you can actually do exactly the same (and a great deal more) with Getresponse for $165 (as long as your list size is under 25,000).
With regard to attendee limitations, the Getresponse’Guru’ plan permits you to host a webinar with around 100 participants; the’Max’ plan’s cap is 500.
You can even buy webinars performance as a add on to a more affordable plan: $40 a month buys you a 100 attendees limitation, $99 a month buys you a 500 attendees limit. It isn’t clear what your choices are if you will need to host larger scale distributions compared to that however.

What’s more, Getresponse actually gives you the deliverability rate of each message on your email analytics – that is something that I have not struck on rival products’ metrics. A thumbs up for it.
I do need to pull Getresponse on something relating to deliverability nevertheless: to guarantee a high deliverability speed, it’s advisable to use a platform called DKIM email authentication. You can use DKIM with Getresponse – but just on the more expensive Getresponse’Max’ programs.

Using a double opt-in procedure, the individual signing up to your record is sent an email containing a confirmation link that s/he have to click before being subscribed.
The most important advantage of one sampling procedure is that it makes it very simple for users to sign up for a mailing list; it also generally increases conversion rate and therefore the number of readers on your record. Whilst its drag-and-drop strategy does in theory provide a very flexible approach to make blocks of content and transfer them about an e-newsletter, in practice it’s quite user friendly to use and may lead to accidental deletion of material, or placement of it in the incorrect part of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head around it, and practice using it a little bit, it will result in a useful instrument – it’s only that the execution of it could be somewhat better.
Additionally, as described above, the CRM tool could be far better from a usability point of view — adding contacts to deals can be unnecessarily difficult.
The 30-day free trial which Getresponse provides is completely functional and the free trial is not contingent upon supplying credit card details.
This helps you avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and now I am getting charged for a commodity that I don’t use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is the fact that it limits the amount of subscribers you can send to to 1000. It would be good if this could be increased a little, as it would help prospective users try the tool out in more’real world’ scenarios.

At the database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is really competitive too – you can sponsor a database comprising 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month with Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (infinite send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee to get a 1,000 recording database is the like Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a marginally more affordable, if less operational offering for $12 per month.
Two final things to be aware of about the pricing :
Some competing providers — notably Mailchimp – offer completely free accounts for users with a few documents (but these do not offer the full range of features that you get on a paid program ).
