It is very clever stuff, and that I can’t think of any email marketing product offering such a tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this type of functionality you normally need to appear at committed — and more costly — CRM products such as Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
But, it is not all good news on the CRM front — there are some big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM feature collection.
The most glaring omission is email activity monitoring. Other CRM packages allow you to bcc a dropbox email address any time you send an email to a lead or client; doing this keeps a record of the communication from the contact’s history. There is currently no method of doing this with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one emails to prospects or customers.
And oddly, if you click a contact within a deal pipeline, you can’t see their contact activity — i.e., the activities they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) in regards to previous communications which you have sent to your leads aren’t displayed. To observe this, you have to go from the CRM section of Getresponse, hunt for your contact in the contacts section and then click on their details. But guess what? Doing so does not exhibit their deal history.
Task management is non-existent also: Unlike committed CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Eventually, adding contacts into a pipeline stage is difficult. You need to add contacts to a list , then visit the CRM pipeline, add a deal and search your lists to receive the contact you just added. From a usability point of view this is extremely clunky and time consuming. You should just have the ability to add a deal directly to a pipeline and then input the contact details of your guide or customer at the point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. However, it is a new feature and the things it can do on the automation side is impressive. I’m optimistic that this attribute becomes developed over time since done right, it’s possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the ability to host webinars on the stage.

If you’re able to get your head around it, and practice using it a little bit, it will make for a helpful tool – it’s only that the implementation of it could be rather better.
Additionally, as described above, the CRM instrument could be better from a usability point of view — adding contacts to deals could be difficult.
The 30-day free trial that Getresponse supplies is completely functional and the free trial isn’t contingent upon providing credit card information.
This helps you avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and now I’m getting charged for a product I don’t use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is the fact that it restricts the amount of readers you can send to to 1000. It would be good if this could be raised a bit, as it would help potential users try the tool out in more’real world’ situations.
