Landing page Builder
Online advertising campaigns that use landing pages will usually create far more leads if, instead of simply directing individuals to some (cluttered!) Website, they point users to attractive’squeeze pages’ comprising clear information and a tidy, well-designed data capture type.

Also, and very importantly, you can’t utilize the landing page A/B testing performance on the least expensive Getresponse plan (whereby the machine shows a sample of your users different versions of your landing page, computes conversion rates, and ultimately rolls out the best performing landing page mechanically ).
If you’re serious about landing pages – plus they’re certainly a helpful attribute – then it is definitely worth looking at one of the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You may buy the Landing Pages feature as an add-on to get an extra $15 per month, but very frustratingly, even though the add-on allows you to display an unlimited number of landing pages to potential subscribers, it does not consist of A/B testing.
Therefore, if I had been interested in the Getresponse landing page functionality, I wouldn’t bother with this rather half-baked add-on: I would just go for one of the pricier programs (which I suppose is exactly what Getresponse would like you to do) .

Customer Relationship Management
Among the most frustrating facets of using many famous CRM tools is the necessity to export information to CSV and back into your email marketing tool as a way to perform mailouts (or the necessity to export info from your email marketing tool into your CRM to add leads to it).
When I saw Getresponse lately introducing a brand new CRM feature in their plans I was intrigued – this could possibly do away with all that data exporting and importing, and keep everything neatly in one place.

It’s very clever stuff, and I can’t think of any email advertising product offering this kind of tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this type of performance you normally must look at dedicated — and more expensive — CRM products such as Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
But, it is not all fantastic news about the CRM front — there are a few big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM feature set.
The most glaring omission is email activity monitoring. Other CRM packages allow you to bcc a dropbox email address any time you send an email to some lead or customer; doing this keeps a list of this communication in the contact’s history. There’s now no method of doing this together with the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an simple way to send one-to-one emails to leads or clients.

So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. But that said, it’s a new attribute and the stuff it can do on the automation aspect is impressive. I’m hopeful that this feature gets developed over time since done right, it is possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to sponsor webinars on the stage.
Given that webinars are usually utilized as a lead-generation strategy, the idea of getting your email database along with your webinar tool under the same roof is extremely attractive.

If you can get your head around it, and practice using it a bit, it does make for a useful tool – it’s only that the execution of it could be somewhat better.
Also, as explained above, the CRM instrument might be far better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals could be difficult.
The 30-day free trial which Getresponse supplies is fully functional and the free trial is not contingent upon supplying credit card details.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for that trial and today I’m getting charged for a commodity I don’t use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is the fact that it restricts the amount of readers you can send to 1000. It would be good if that could be raised a bit, as it would help potential users try out the tool in more’real world’ situations.

It’s also worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers thinner pricing bands, meaning that depending on how big your list, it may sometimes be a slightly cheaper alternative than Getresponse.
In the smaller database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is really competitive too – you can host a database comprising 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month using Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (infinite send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee for a 1,000 record database is exactly the same as Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a slightly cheaper, if less operational offering for $12 a month.
