So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers together with Your custom field data in distinct columns… or can simply add these fields to a forms which will only apply to prospective subscribers.

I will not go too much to the form Stuff here since I have an entire section on that below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
