Up until quite recently Getresponse support was amongst the most comprehensive available for email advertising tools: the firm offered phone support together with live chat support, email service and assorted online tutorials / tools.

Most competing products have caught up on this now, and offer responsive email templates, but Getresponse is far better than most similar products as soon as it comes to displaying a responsive record of your e-newsletter – you simply hit a’mobile preview’ button to get an instant snapshot of what your email resembles on a smartphone (see picture right).

Customer Relationship Management
Among the most frustrating facets of using many famous CRM tools is that the necessity to export data to CSV and straight back to your email marketing instrument as a way to do mailouts (or the necessity to export data from the email marketing tool in your CRM to include leads to it).
When I saw Getresponse recently introducing a new CRM feature into their plans I had been intrigued – this could possibly do away with all that data exporting and importing, and keep everything neatly in one place.

The CRM is now integrated with all of Getresponse’s email marketing functionality and you can add users to a CRM pipeline based on their activity (form completions, email opens, purchases etc.) or trigger autoresponders depending on the addition of a new contact to a pipeline phase.
An example of how to use this operation is as follows:
You can add a contact to a particular point on a sales pipeline based on the page of your site that they finished a form ;
you could then send a automated email tailored to that pipeline period a couple of days later;
and based on the actions they took with regard to this email (clicking on a particular link ) you could automatically move them on another stage of the pipeline and invite invite them into a webinar.
It is very clever stuff, and that I can not think of any email advertising product offering this kind of tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this type of functionality you normally must look at dedicated — and more costly — CRM products like Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
However, it is not all fantastic news about the CRM front — there are some big things missing out of Getresponse’s CRM attribute collection.

Task management is non-existent too: Unlike committed CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Eventually, adding contacts to a pipeline stage is tough. You have to add contacts to a list , then go to the CRM pipeline, add a deal and hunt your lists for the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is extremely clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to put in a deal right to a pipeline and input the contact details of your guide or customer at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. But that said, it’s a new feature and the stuff it can do on the automation aspect is impressive. I’m optimistic that this attribute becomes developed over time because done right, it is potentially a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to sponsor webinars on the stage.
Given that webinars are usually utilized as a lead-generation tactic, the idea of having your email database along with your webinar tool under precisely the exact same roof is extremely attractive.

The most important advantage of a single sampling procedure is that it makes it very simple for users to sign up for your mailing list; it also generally increases conversion rate and therefore the amount of readers on your record. If you’re able to get your head around it, and practice using it a little bit, it does make for a useful tool – it’s just that the implementation of it could be somewhat better.
Additionally, as described above, the CRM tool might be far better from a usability point of view — adding contacts to deals can be difficult.
The 30-day free trial that Getresponse supplies is completely operational and the free trial isn’t contingent upon supplying credit card information.
This helps you avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for that trial and now I’m getting charged for a product I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is the fact that it limits the amount of subscribers it is possible to send to to 1000. It would be useful if that could be increased a bit, as it would help potential users try out the tool in more’real world’ scenarios.
