Regrettably, the telephone service has now been discontinued. Instead you’ll need to use live chat (24/7) or email support. If you’re serious about landing pages – and they’re certainly a helpful attribute – then it is definitely worth considering one of the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You may buy the Landing Pages attribute as an add-on to get an additional $15 per month, however quite frustratingly, even though the add-on permits you to display an infinite number of landing pages to potential subscribers, it doesn’t include A/B testing.
Accordingly, if I had been considering the Getresponse landing page functionality, I wouldn’t bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I’d just go for one of the more expensive plans (which I suppose is what Getresponse want you to do) .

and based on the actions they took in regards to this email (clicking on a particular link etc) you could automatically move them onto another phase of the pipeline and automatically invite them to a webinar.
It’s very clever stuff, and that I can not think of any email marketing product offering this kind of tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this kind of functionality you normally must appear at dedicated — and more expensive — CRM products like Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
But, it is not all fantastic news about the CRM front — there are a few big things missing out of Getresponse’s CRM feature set.
The most glaring omission is email activity monitoring. Other CRM packages permit you to bcc a dropbox email address any time you send an email to a lead or customer; doing so keeps a record of the communication in the contact’s history. There is currently no method of doing so with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one mails to leads or customers.
And strangely, when you click on a contact within a bargain pipeline, you can’t see their contact action — i.e., the activities they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) with regard to previous communications which you have sent to your prospects aren’t displayed. To see this, you have to go out of the CRM part of Getresponse, hunt for your own contact in the contacts section and then click in their details. But guess what? Doing this doesn’t display their history.
Task management is non-existent too: unlike dedicated CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Eventually, adding contacts into your pipeline stage is difficult. You need to add contacts to a list , then go to the CRM pipeline, add a bargain and hunt your lists for the contact you just added. From a usability point of view this is very clunky and time consuming. You should just have the ability to add a deal right to a pipeline and input the contact information of your guide or customer at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is a bit half-baked. But that said, it’s a new attribute and the things it could perform on the automation side is impressive. I’m hopeful that this attribute gets developed over time since done right, it’s potentially a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the ability to host webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are usually utilized as a lead-generation tactic, the notion of having your email database and your webinar tool under precisely the same roof is very appealing.
The pricing is also very aggressive also by comparison to based webinar solutions. For a start, they’re not responsive (i.e., they won’t resize themselves automatically to match the device they are being viewed on).
Additionally, no controls are provided by Getresponse to switch forms off or on on particular devices or pages of your website. At the light of Google’s brand new approach to pop-ups (where websites can take a hit in search results if they display’intrusive interstitials’ on cellular devices) this is a bit of a concern.

Overall, Getresponse is pretty straightforward to use. It is certainly easy enough to do all of the fundamentals: import contacts, create campaigns, set up autoresponders and check statistics and the interface is pretty intuitive and clean.
In terms of how it stacks up against its rivals in this regard, I’d argue that Campaign Monitor is a little bit more user friendly, and Mailchimp has a slicker user interface (though one that makes finding certain functionality a little bit tricky at times).
1 place I think that could be significantly better from a user-friendliness standpoint is the Getresponse e-newsletter editor.
Whilst its drag-and-drop strategy does in theory provide an extremely flexible approach to make blocks of articles and transfer them about an e-newsletter, in practice it’s fairly clunky to use and may cause accidental deletion of content, or positioning of it at the incorrect portion of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head about it, and practice using it a bit, it does make for a useful instrument – it’s just that the execution of it could be rather better.
Also, as described above, the CRM tool could be better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals could be difficult.
The 30-day free trial which Getresponse supplies is fully operational and the free trial is not contingent upon supplying credit card details.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for that trial and now I am getting charged for a product that I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to this free trial is that it limits the amount of subscribers it is possible to send to 1000. It would be useful if that could be increased a bit, as it would help potential users try the tool out in more’real-world’ scenarios.

Two final things to be aware of on the pricing :
Some competing providers — especially Mailchimp – provide completely free account for users with a few records (but these do not supply the entire assortment of features that you get on a paid program ).

Some developments to Getresponse do need to be made however, especially where the email designer is concerned – its own drag and drop interface is much more fiddly and less responsive than it should be. A lot of improvements could be made into the data capture types too, particularly for consumers wishing to display them on mobile devices.
And from what I gather from reader opinions, there are improvements that could be made into the support offering.
All in all though I rate Getresponse very tremendously – you get substantial bang for your dollar with this product.
