Some of the live chat support I have received was excellent, and I have not had to wait too much time to talk to a broker; the email support less so.

Getresponse offers some very comprehensive analytics and reporting options. You get all the basics of course – open rate, click-through, unsubscribe Prices and so on – but also to that you will find some very nifty features Which Are worth a particular mention, namely:

Furthermore, there are tons of templates to choose from — over 500 — and they’re presented in easy-to-understand classes, so it’s generally pretty straightforward to find a good starting point to get a template and edit it until you are happy with the plan.
If you are really unhappy with the templates provided by Getresponse, there is also the choice of buying a template by a third party supplier such as Theme Forest.
Another thing worth pointing out seeing Getresponse’s templates is that the range of RSS-to-email software options aren’t very extensive (only 11 templates are supplied – well short of their 700+ available for routine newsletters!) And a few of them played a bit for me when I tested them in Outlook (2010). I eventually found something that worked for me personally, but I think that there are definitely a few improvements which could be created in this region. Email Marketing Blast Software

Landing page Builder
Online advertising campaigns which make use of landing pages will usually create far more leads if, rather than simply directing people to some (cluttered!) Site, they tip users to attractive’squeeze pages’ containing clear information and a tidy, well-designed data capture form.
Getresponse provides something very beneficial in this respect that the majority of its competitors do not: a landing page founder (and one that’s mobile-friendly to boot).
Products like Campaign Monitor and Aweber ask that you use a third party (and non invasive ) landing page creating tool such as Unbounce or Instapage; Mailchimp recently introduced a landing page performance but it is yet to become sophisticated at Getresponse’s.
But unless you are on a Getresponse’Guru’,’Max’ or’Enterprise’ program, the Getresponse landing page functionality is rather limited: you can just create 1 landing page, which could simply be displayed 1,000 times a month.
Additionally, and above all, you can’t utilize the landing page A/B testing functionality on the cheapest Getresponse plan (where the system indicates a sample of your users different versions of your landing page, calculates conversion rates, and finally rolls out the top performing landing page mechanically ).
If you’re serious about landing pages – plus they are certainly a helpful attribute – then it is definitely worth considering among the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You may buy the Landing Pages feature as an add-on to get an extra $15 a month, but very frustratingly, even though the add-on allows you to show an infinite amount of landing pages to prospective subscribers, it does not consist of A/B testing.
Accordingly, if I was interested in the Getresponse landing page functionality, I wouldn’t bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I would just go for one of the more expensive programs (which I guess is exactly what Getresponse want one to do) .

Among the most frustrating facets of using many well-known CRM tools is that the need to export information to CSV and back into your email marketing instrument in order to do mailouts (or the need to export data from your email marketing tool into your CRM to include prospects to it).
When I watched Getresponse recently introducing a brand new CRM feature into their plans I had been intrigued – that could potentially eliminate all that data exporting and exporting, and keep everything neatly in one place.
Initially I wasn’t that impressed with all the Getresponse CRM tool since you could only use it to perform quite basic tasks: you can create sales pipelines, add contacts to them and monitor activity (mails, phone calls etc.) with those contacts manually.
But lately Getresponse have upped their game somewhat on this front. The CRM is currently integrated with all of Getresponse’s email marketing functionality and you can add users into a CRM pipeline based on their activity (form completions, email opens, purchases etc.) or trigger autoresponders based on the addition of a new contact to a pipeline stage.
An example of how you could use this operation would be as follows:
You can add a contact to a specific stage on a revenue pipeline depending on the page of your site that they finished a form on;
you could then send a automated email tailored to this pipeline period a couple of days later;
and based on the action they took with regard to that email (clicking on a certain link etc) you could automatically move them on another phase of the pipeline and invite invite them into a webinar.
It’s very clever stuff, and that I can’t think of any similar email marketing product offering this kind of tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this kind of functionality you normally must appear at dedicated — and more costly — CRM products like Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
However, it’s not all fantastic news on the CRM front — there are a few big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM feature collection.
The most glaring omission is e mail activity tracking. Other CRM packages allow you to bcc a dropbox email address whenever you send an email to a lead or customer; doing this keeps a list of this communication from the contact’s history. There’s currently no method of doing this together with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an simple way to send one-to-one mails to leads or clients.
And oddly, if you click a contact within a deal pipeline, you can not see their contact activity — i.e., the activities they have taken (open, clicks etc.) with regard to previous communications which you have sent to your prospects aren’t displayed. To observe this, you have to go from the CRM section of Getresponse, search for your own contact in the contacts section and then click on their details. But guess what? Doing so doesn’t exhibit their deal history.
Task management is non-existent too: Unlike committed CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Finally, adding contacts into your pipeline stage is difficult. You have to add contacts to a list , then visit the CRM pipeline, add a deal and hunt your lists to receive the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is very clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to put in a bargain right to a pipeline and enter the contact details of your guide or customer at the point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is somewhat half-baked. However, it’s a new feature and the stuff it can do on the automation aspect is impressive. I am hopeful that this feature becomes developed over time since done right, it’s possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to sponsor webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are generally utilized as a lead-generation tactic, the idea of getting your email database along with your webinar tool under precisely the exact same roof is extremely attractive.
The pricing is also very competitive too compared to based webinar solutions. The email deliverability rate – the proportion of e-newsletters delivered that successfully hit inboxes – is always an important thing to look at when selecting an email marketing instrument.
Not all email advertising providers are that forthright about their deliverability prices; but Getresponse seems pretty open about this, with this to say about it in their own website:

Because deliverability is dependent upon many things, including the content of your messages, the deliverability rate could vary for each mailing. For our clients collectively, nevertheless, we are pleased to say our general deliverability rate currently stands at 99%.
Clearly you are going to need to choose the company’s word for this, but supposing it’s true, it’s a good rate and inspires confidence that the vast majority of emails that you send using Getresponse will achieve their receivers.
Furthermore, Getresponse actually gives you the deliverability rate of each message on your email analytics – this is something that I haven’t struck on rival products’ metrics. A thumbs up for it.

Now, the good news is that Getresponse permits you to take advantage of either opt-in approach – this is not the case with all competing products. So a thumbs up for Getresponse for being flexible about this.
You’re probably thinking that this sounds pretty good — but to tell the truth, I think there is a lot of room for improvement with regard to Getresponse form templates.
For a start, they’re not responsive (i.e.they won’t resize themselves automatically to match the device they are being watched on).
Additionally, no controllers are offered by Getresponse to change forms off or on on particular devices or pages of your site. In the light of Google’s brand new strategy to pop-ups (where websites can take a hit in search results if they display’intrusive interstitials’ on mobile devices) this really is a small concern.

Whilst its drag-and-drop strategy does in theory provide a very flexible way to create blocks of content and move them around an e-newsletter, in practice it’s quite user friendly to use and may cause accidental deletion of content, or placement of it in the incorrect portion of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head about it, and practice using it a bit, it does make for a helpful tool – it is only that the implementation of it could be rather better.
Additionally, as described above, the CRM instrument might be better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals could be difficult.
The 30-day complimentary trial which Getresponse provides is completely operational and the free trial isn’t contingent upon supplying credit card information.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and today I’m getting charged for a product I don’t use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is the fact that it restricts the number of subscribers you can send to 1000. It would be good if that could be raised a bit, as it would help prospective users try out the tool in more’real-world’ scenarios.

Pricing Vs Competitors

The only well-known service I can think of that comes from significantly more affordable is Mad Mimi, which costs $42 per month to sponsor up to 10,000 email addresses (note however that the performance offered by Mad Mimi is nowhere near as broad as Getresponse’s or really another products mentioned above).
Additionally, it is worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers narrower pricing bands, meaning that depending on the size of your list, it may sometimes be a slightly cheaper alternative than Getresponse.
In the smaller database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is pretty competitive too – you can host a database containing 1,000 email addresses for $15 a month with Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (unlimited send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee to get a 1,000 record database is the same as Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a marginally more affordable, if much less functional offering for $12 per month.
Two final things to be aware of about the pricing :
Some competing providers — notably Mailchimp – offer free account for users with a few records (but these do not supply the entire assortment of features that you get on a paid plan).
As mentioned before, if you’re prepared to pay upfront for 1 or two years, you can avail of substantial discounts the other competitors do not yet supply.

Getresponse represents among the more cost-effective ways to host and speak with an email database.
It’s also one of the most interesting products of its type – because it provides email marketing, landing pages, CRM and webinars all under a single roof. It’s hard to think of any competing product that delivers this’all round’ proposal, and it’s what proceeds to persuade us to use it for Style Factory’s email advertising.
Some improvements to Getresponse do need to be made however, especially where the email programmer is concerned – its drag and drop interface is more fiddly and not as responsive than it ought to be. A lot of improvements can be made to the data capture forms too, especially for consumers wanting to display them on mobile devices.
And from what I gather from reader feedback, there are improvements which could be made to the support offering.
Overall though I rate Getresponse very highly – you get considerable bang for your dollar with this item.
