Up until very recently Getresponse support was one of the most comprehensive available for email marketing tools: the company offered phone service alongside live chat support, email service and assorted online tutorials / resources.
Sadly, the telephone service has been discontinued. Instead you’ll need to use live chat (24/7) or email service. To be honest, most similar e-marketing platform suppliers only offer both of these stations – if telephone service is a deal-breaker for you you might wish to contemplate Aweber, which nonetheless provides it (you can read our Aweber review ).

If you are serious about landing pages – plus they’re certainly a helpful attribute – then it is definitely worth looking at among the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You may buy the Landing Pages feature as an add-on to get an extra $15 per month, however very frustratingly, although the add-on allows you to show an unlimited number of landing pages to prospective subscribers, it does not include A/B testing.

and dependent on the action they took with regard to this email (clicking on a particular link ) you can automatically move them on another phase of the pipeline and automatically invite them to a webinar.
It is very clever stuff, and that I can not think of any email marketing product offering such a tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this type of performance you normally must appear at dedicated — and more expensive — CRM products such as Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
But, it’s not all fantastic news on the CRM front there are some big things missing out of Getresponse’s CRM feature collection.
The most glaring omission is e mail activity monitoring. Additional CRM packages permit you to bcc a dropbox email address whenever you send an email to a lead or client; doing so keeps a list of the communication from the contact’s history. There is now no way of doing this with the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one mails to prospects or customers.

Doing this doesn’t display their deal history.
Task management is non-existent also: Unlike dedicated CRM tools, there’s no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Finally, adding contacts into your pipeline stage is difficult. You have to add contacts to a list first, then visit the CRM pipeline, include a deal and search your lists for the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is extremely clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to put in a deal right to a pipeline and input the contact details of your lead or customer at the point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is a bit half-baked. But that said, it is a new feature and the things it could perform on the automation side is remarkable. I’m hopeful that this feature becomes developed over time since done right, it is possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to host webinars on the stage.
Given that webinars are usually used as a lead-generation strategy, the idea of getting your email database along with your webinar tool under precisely the same roof is very appealing.
The pricing is also very competitive also by comparison to based webinar solutions. Whilst its drag-and-drop strategy does in theory provide a very flexible approach to make blocks of content and move them about an e-newsletter, in practice it is fairly clunky to use and can cause accidental deletion of material, or positioning of it in the incorrect portion of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head about it, and practice using it a bit, it will result in a helpful tool – it’s only that the implementation of it might be somewhat better.
Also, as described above, the CRM instrument could be better from a usability point of view — adding contacts to deals can be unnecessarily difficult.
The 30-day free trial that Getresponse provides is fully operational and the free trial is not contingent upon providing credit card details.
This makes it possible to avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and today I’m getting charged for a commodity I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to the free trial is that it limits the amount of readers you can send to 1000. It would be useful if that could be raised a little, as it might help potential users try out the tool in more’real world’ scenarios.

The sole well-known service I could think of that comes from significantly more affordable is Mad Mimi, which costs $42 a month to host up to 10,000 email addresses (note however that the functionality provided by Mad Mimi is nowhere near as extensive as Getresponse’s or indeed another products mentioned above).
Additionally, it is worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers narrower pricing rings, meaning that depending on how big your listing, it may sometimes be a slightly cheaper alternative than Getresponse.
At the smaller database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is pretty competitive too – you can sponsor a database comprising 1,000 email addresses for $15 a month using Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (infinite send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee for a 1,000 recording database will be the same as Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a marginally more affordable, if less functional offering for $12 per month.
Two final things to be Conscious of on the pricing front:
Some competing suppliers — especially Mailchimp – provide completely free account for users with a small number of records (but these don’t offer the entire range of features that you get on a paid plan).
As mentioned earlier, if you are prepared to pay upfront for 1 or two decades, you can avail of significant discounts the other competitors do not yet supply.

Some developments to Getresponse do have to be made however, especially where the email designer is concerned – its drag and drop interface is much more fiddly and less responsive than it ought to be.
