Description of Getresponse Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Getresponse is primarily an email Advertising app Which Allows you to: Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Import and host a mailing list and also catch data on it
generate newsletters that can be delivered to the subscribers on your mailing list
automate your emails to subscribers via use of’autoresponders’
view and analyse data linked to your email advertising campaigns — open rate, click through, forwards etc..
Lately however, Getresponse’s attribute set has developed quite a bit, to the point at which it is getting more of an’all-purpose’ marketing alternative.
In addition to email advertising, it also supplies training hosting, landing pages, and a few CRM (client relationship management) performance.
We’ll discuss all these attributes in depth below, but first, let’s look at pricing.
Getresponse’s attribute set is possibly among the most comprehensive on the market.
Not only does it provide all of the crucial stuff you would expect from an email marketing platform – list hosting, templates, autoresponders, analytics and so forth, but as mentioned above, it’s recently been expanding the feature set to the point at which it’s morphing into an all-in-one / CRM-style advertising and marketing platform.
The question is whether Getresponse is a jack of all trades and master of none – let’s drill down into the key qualities to find out.
Up until very recently Getresponse service was one of the most comprehensive available for email marketing tools: the company offered phone service alongside live chat support, email support and various online tutorials / tools.
Regrettably, the telephone support has now been discontinued. Instead you are going to need to use live chat (24/7) or email service. To be fair, many similar e-marketing platform suppliers only offer you both of these stations – if phone support is a deal-breaker for you then you may wish to consider Aweber, which still provides it (you can read our Aweber review ).
In terms of the caliber of Getresponse support, I have never needed to use it very frequently (a fantastic thing) but once I have I’ve found it to be a small mixed bag (less of a good thing). A number of those live chat support I have received has been excellent, and I have not needed to wait too long to chat with an agent; the email service .
Some of the comments I’ve got from our readers will indicate that there do need to be improvements made concerning the caliber of support Getresponse offer. As with a lot of these kinds of companies, I anticipate it boils down to who you get daily. Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Getresponse offers some very comprehensive reporting and analytics choices. You get all the basics of course – open rate, click-through, unsubscribe Prices and so forth – but in addition to that you will find some very nifty features Which Are worth a Specific mention, namely:
‘one-click segmentation’: the choice to spot individuals who didn’t participate with an e-newsletter you shipped and set them in a section of readers that you may then email again with a different version of the e-newsletter
‘metrics over time’: you can find out exactly when a lot of your readers take action in your emails, and time your prospective mailouts based on this info
’email ROI’: by adding some tracking code into your post-sales page on your site, it is possible to find out how efficiently (or not!) Your email campaigns are driving sales, and workout your return on investment in email marketing.
Per-user information – you can click one of your subscribers and see in which they signed from, where they’re located and which emails they’ve opened in the past.
Mailchimp and Aweber offer some comparable reporting functionality (particularly around sales monitoring ) but Getresponse’s reporting application is decidedly one of most fully featured out there (it certainly trounces the stats choices provided by Mad Mimi and Campaign Monitor).
So far so good with Getresponse, but when it comes to templates, Getresponse arguably falls down a little.
Unfortunately, the templates provided from the box seem a bit dated; they aren’t as attractive as those offered by Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor (and that I slightly prefer Aweber’s offering here also ).
On the other hand, the templates are extremely tweakable – you can change fonts, layouts and vision easily enough using the controls supplied; and naturally there is nothing to prevent you designing your own HTML email template and minding the code for this.
Additionally, you will find tons of templates to choose from — around 500 — and they’re presented in easy-to-understand classes, therefore it’s generally pretty simple to find a good starting point to get a template and edit it until you’re happy with the plan.
If you are really unhappy with the templates offered by Getresponse, there is also the option of purchasing a template by a third party provider such as Theme Forest.
Another thing worth pointing out seeing Getresponse’s templates is the range of RSS-to-email applications options aren’t very extensive (only 11 templates are supplied – well short of the 700+ available for routine newsletters!) And some of them played up a bit for me when I tested them (2010). I finally found something that worked for me, but I think there are definitely some improvements that could be made in this area. Autoresponders are e-newsletters that are delivered to your readers at intervals depending on you — you can set them up so that immediately after somebody signs up to a mailing list, they receive a welcome message from your business; a week after they could receive a discount offer for a number of your products or services; three months after they could obtain an encouragement to accompany you on social networking. And so Forth.
Getresponse’s autoresponder functionality is a key selling point – it provides one of the most comprehensive feature sets available.
You can send time-based or action-based messages; time-based choices comprise cycles like the illustration above, and action-based messages may be triggered by user actions or information, for example:
subscriptions to particular lists
changes in contact tastes
completed trades / goals
changes in consumer information
Recently Getresponse launched a new version of the new autoresponder performance, called’Marketing Automation.’
This permits you to create automation workflows using a drag and drop builder – you basically set up an’automation flowchart’ that instructs Getresponse what to do if a user opens a particular deal, clicks on a certain link etc..
This kind of performance goes way beyond what has traditionally been available from autoresponders, and lets you make a user travel which may be customised to the nth degree.
To get a fast overview I would suggest having a look at Getresponse’s video review for Marketing Automation.
It is important to note, however, that these more innovative marketing automation features are only available to the pricier plans – the’Guru’ plan and upward. Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Landing page Builder
Online advertising campaigns that make use of landing pages will usually create far more leads if, rather than simply directing people to some (cluttered!) Website, they tip users to appealing’squeeze pages’ containing clear information and a clean, well-designed data capture type.
Getresponse provides something quite beneficial in this regard that most of its rivals don’t: a landing page creator (and one that’s mobile-friendly to boot).
Products such as Campaign Monitor and Aweber ask you to make use of a third party (and non invasive ) landing page generating tool like Unbounce or Instapage; Mailchimp recently introduced some landing page functionality but it’s yet to become sophisticated at Getresponse’s.
However, unless you’re on a Getresponse’Guru’,’Max’ or’Enterprise’ plan, the Getresponse landing page functionality is fairly limited: you can just create 1 landing page, which could only be displayed 1,000 times a month.
Also, and very importantly, you can’t use the landing page A/B testing performance on the cheapest Getresponse program (whereby the system shows a sample of your users different versions of your landing page, computes conversion rates, and finally rolls out the best performing landing page automatically).
If you’re serious about landing pages – and they are unquestionably a helpful attribute – then it’s definitely worth looking at among the costlier Getresponse plans.
You may purchase the Landing Pages attribute as an add-on for an extra $15 a month, but quite frustratingly, although the add-on permits you to display an unlimited amount of landing pages to potential subscribers, it doesn’t include A/B testing.
Therefore, if I had been interested in the Getresponse landing page performance, I wouldn’t bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I would just go for a few of the more expensive plans (which I suppose is exactly what Getresponse would like one to do) .
Getresponse was before its rivals for quite a while with its responsive email layout performance, which automatically corrects your e-newsletter’s template so that if an individual is reading it onto a mobile device, the layout and fonts will be optimized for the device in question.
Most competing products have caught up on this today, and offer responsive email templates, but Getresponse is better than many similar goods when it comes to displaying a reactive record of your e-newsletter – you just hit a’cellphone preview’ button for an instant snapshot of what your email resembles on a smartphone (see image right).
Not just that but you can’reverse’ the smartphone trailer around, so that you may preview what your own email looks like when the display is used in either portrait or landscape mode. Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Customer Relationship Management
Among the most frustrating aspects of using many famous CRM tools is the necessity to export information to CSV and back to your email marketing instrument in order to do mailouts (or the need to export info from the email marketing tool into your CRM to include leads to it).
So when I saw Getresponse recently introducing a brand new CRM feature into their plans I had been intrigued – that could possibly eliminate all that info exporting and importing, and keep everything neatly in one area.
Initially I wasn’t that impressed with the Getresponse CRM tool since you can only use it in order to perform quite basic tasks: you could create sales pipelines, add contacts to them and track activity (mails, phone calls etc.) with those contacts manually.
But lately Getresponse have upped their video game a bit on this front. The CRM is currently integrated with all Getresponse’s email marketing functionality and you can add users to a CRM pipeline according to their action (form completions, email opens, purchases etc.) or trigger autoresponders based on the addition of a new contact into a pipeline phase.
An example of how to use this functionality is as follows:
You can add a contact to a specific point on a sales pipeline based on the page of your site they completed a form on;
you can then send a automated email tailored to that pipeline period a few days later;
and based on the actions they took with regard to this email (clicking on a certain link ) you could automatically move them on another stage of the pipeline and invite invite them into a webinar.
It’s very smart stuff, and that I can’t think of any similar email marketing product offering such a tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this type of functionality you normally must appear at dedicated — and more expensive — CRM products like Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
But, it is not all fantastic news on the CRM front — there are some big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM feature set.
The most glaring omission is e mail activity tracking. Additional CRM packages permit you to bcc a dropbox email address whenever you send an email to a lead or client; doing so keeps a list of this communication from the contact’s history. There is now no method of doing this together with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one emails to prospects or customers.
And strangely, when you click a contact within a bargain pipeline, you can’t see their contact action — i.e., the activities they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) with regard to previous communications that you have sent to your prospects aren’t displayed. To observe this, you have to go out of the CRM section of Getresponse, hunt for your own contact in the contacts section and click on their details. But guess what? Doing so does not display their history.
Task management is non-existent also: unlike committed CRM tools, there is no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Eventually, adding contacts to a pipeline stage is tough. You have to add contacts to a list , then go to the CRM pipeline, include a bargain and search your lists to receive the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is very clunky and time consuming. You should just have the ability to add a bargain right to a pipeline and input the contact information of your lead or client at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is a bit half-baked. However, it’s a new feature and the things it can do on the automation side is remarkable. I’m optimistic that this feature gets developed over time since done right, it’s potentially a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to host webinars on the platform.
Given that webinars are generally used as a lead-generation strategy, the notion of having your email database and your webinar tool under the exact same roof is extremely attractive.
The pricing is also very aggressive also by comparison to established webinar solutions. By way of example, one of the primary webinar providers, Gotowebinar, charges $199 a month to sponsor webinars with as much as 500 attendees; you can actually do the same (plus a whole lot more) with Getresponse for $165 (so long as your listing size is under 25,000).
With regard to attendee limits, the Getresponse’Pro’ program permits you to host a webinar with up to 100 participants; the’Max’ program’s cap is 500.
You can also purchase webinars functionality as an add-on to a cheaper plan: $40 per month buys you a 100 attendees limit, $99 per month buys you a 500 attendees limit. It isn’t clear what your choices are if you will need to host larger scale webinars compared to that however.
A couple of Getresponse webinar features worth flagging up as being particularly useful are:
The very fact that your attendees don’t need to install any software to attend the webinars
one-click record of your webinars
free online storage for playback documents
Ultimately webinar functionality is potentially a very useful feature to have sitting on your e-marketing arsenal and its addition as a feature gives Getresponse a very significant advantage over its key competitors, especially when you believe that you can link it in using a built-in CRM tool (more on that in a minute ). The email deliverability rate – the percentage of e-newsletters sent that successfully reach inboxes – is obviously a very important point to look at when selecting an email marketing tool.
Not all email marketing providers are that forthright about their deliverability rates; but Getresponse seems reasonably open about that, with this to say about it on their own website:
At GetResponse we are often asked about the quality of the deliverability speed. Since deliverability depends on many things, including the content of your messages, the deliverability rate may vary for every mailing. For our customers jointly, nevertheless, we’re pleased to say our overall deliverability rate now stands at 99%.
Clearly you are going to have to choose the company’s word for this, but supposing it is true, it’s a good speed and inspires confidence that the vast majority of emails you send using Getresponse will reach their receivers.
What’s more, Getresponse really provides you the deliverability rate of every message on your email analytics – this is something I haven’t encountered on competing products’ metrics. A thumbs up for this.
I do need to pull Getresponse on one thing concerning deliverability however: to ensure a high deliverability speed, it’s a good idea to use a platform named DKIM email authentication. You are able to use DKIM with Getresponse – but just on the costlier Getresponse’Max’ plans.
Though I have not struck any deliverability difficulties using the cheaper plans, competing goods do not make you invest in a more expensive plan to avail of this feature — it’d be good to see Getresponse being more generous here.
There are two approaches you can employ to add subscribers to a mailing list: using a’only opt-in’ or a’double opt-in’ process.
If you utilize a single opt-in procedure, the person registering to your own mailing list is added to your mailing list the minute they hit the submit button on your sign up form.
Using a double opt-in process, the individual registering to your record is sent an email containing a confirmation link that s/he have to click before being subscribed.
The main advantage of one sampling procedure is that it makes it very simple for users to sign up for a mailing list; it also generally increases conversion rate and therefore the number of readers on your list. A dual opt-in process is better for verifying that the people subscribing to a record are using real email addresses and contributes to cleaner information and more accurate stats (because receptive rates etc. are calculated according to a list comprising just email addresses).
The good news is that Getresponse allows you to take advantage of either opt-in approach – this isn’t true with all competing products. So a thumbs up for Getresponse to be flexible about this.
You are probably thinking that this sounds pretty good — but to be honest, I think there is a lot of room for advancement with respect to Getresponse kind templates.
For a start, they’re not responsive (i.e.they won’t resize themselves automatically to suit the device they’re being viewed on).
Additionally, no controls are offered by Getresponse to change forms on or off on particular devices or individual pages of your website. At the light of Google’s brand new approach to pop-ups (where sites can take a hit in search results if they display’intrusive interstitials’ on mobile devices) this is a bit of a concern.
To get around this, I generally avoid using Getresponse form templates, and make do using HTML embeded forms which I design myself, and also for popups I link my Getresponse to some growth-hacking tool named Sumo (that enables me to switch pop-ups off for mobile users, as well as display forms exactly as I’d like to and on the pages I need ). Overall, Getresponse is pretty simple to use. It’s certainly easy enough to do all of the basics: import contacts, create campaigns, setup autoresponders and check numbers and the interface is pretty intuitive and clean.
With regards to how it stacks up against its competitors in this regard, I’d assert that Campaign Monitor is a little bit more user friendly, and Mailchimp includes a slicker user interface (although one that makes locating certain functionality just a little bit tricky at times).
1 area I think that could be significantly better from a user-friendliness standpoint is that the Getresponse e-newsletter editor.
Whilst its drag-and-drop strategy does in theory provide an extremely flexible approach to create blocks of content and move them around an e-newsletter, in practice it is quite user friendly to use and may cause accidental deletion of material, or placement of it at the incorrect portion of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head around it, and practice using it a bit, it will make for a helpful instrument – it is just that the execution of it might be rather better.
Also, as described above, the CRM instrument could be far better from a usability point of view adding contacts to deals could be unnecessarily difficult.
The 30-day complimentary trial that Getresponse supplies is fully operational and the free trial is not contingent upon supplying credit card information.
This helps you avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and today I’m getting charged for a product that I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to this free trial is that it restricts the amount of subscribers it is possible to send to 1000. It would be good if this could be raised a little, as it would help potential users try out the tool in more’real-world’ situations.
There are 3 main sorts of Getresponse pricing strategy -‘Email’,’Guru’ and’Max’ — and inside each of these, several additional types of strategy to choose from (all based on list size).
As much as 1,000 subscribers: $15 (‘Email’) / $49 (‘Pro’) / $165 (‘Max’)
1,001 to 2,500 subscribers: $25 (‘Email’) / $49 (‘Pro’) / $165 (‘Max’)
2,501 to 5,000 readers: $45 (‘Email’) / $49 (‘Guru’) / $165 (‘Max’)
5,001 to 10,000 readers: $65 (‘Email’)/ $75 (‘Guru’) / $165 (‘Max’)
10,001 to 25,000 readers: $145 (‘Email’) / $165 (‘Pro’) / $255 (‘Max’)
25,001 to 50,000 readers: $250 (‘Email’) / $280 (‘Pro’) / $370 (‘Max’)
50,001 to 100,000 subscribers: $450 (‘Email’) / $490 (‘Pro’) / $580 (‘Max’
Additionally there’s an”Enterprise” plan for users that our lists transcend 100,000 email addresses: that begins at $1199, with exact pricing depending on prerequisites (if you’re considering the”Enterprise” plan, you’ll need to contact Getresponse to schedule a demo, outline your needs and discuss pricing).
Substantial discounts are available if you pay upfront for 12 or 24 months of service (18% and 30% respectively) — these are much more generous than most competing platforms. Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Distinctions of Every Plan
Each of the Getresponse plans cover the significant basics — key features include:
The capacity to export, develop and host an email database
a wide range of templates
responsive email designs
RSS / blog to-email performance
comprehensive segmentation options
societal sharing programs
There are a number of differences between the’Email’,’Guru’ and’Max’ programs but for me the key ones are:
CRM – Getresponse provides a client relationship manager tool on its’Pro’ plans up
Landing pages – you can simply avail of landing pages that allow split testing and unlimited views if you are on a’Pro’ program or higher
Webinars – that performance is not accessible whatsoever on the’Email’ plan and the number of webinar attendees is capped for the’Pro’ and’Max’ programs at 100, 500 respectively (it is unclear what the limitation is on the’Enterprise’ program ).
Users – you can have just one user account on the’Email’ program; by comparison you get 3 on’Pro’, 5 on’Max’ and 10 on’Enterprise’.
Pricing Vs Competitors
Provided that you’re pleased to use one of the entry-level’Email’ plans, the pay-per-month Getresponse plans are on the whole more affordable than those supplied by many of its key competitors, particularly if you’ve got a fairly high number of email addresses onto your own database.
For instance, if you have a mailing list comprising between 9,000 and 10,000 records which you want to send an infinite number of mails each month to, you’ll find that hosting it using Getresponse prices $65 monthly.
$4 a month cheaper compared to Aweber
$10 cheaper a month than Mailchimp
$84 per month cheaper than Campaign Monitor*
* Campaign Monitor’s pricing structure depends not just the number of email addresses in your database however on how many emails you send a month also. If you’re delighted to limit the number of emails sent via Campaign Monitor (from the example above, to 50k emails), you can expect to pay a monthly charge of $89, nevertheless substantially greater than Getresponse’s.
The sole well-known service that I could think of that comes from significantly more affordable is Mad Mimi, which costs $42 a month to host up to 10,000 email addresses (note however that the functionality offered by Mad Mimi is nowhere near as broad as Getresponse’s or indeed the other products mentioned above).
It’s also worth pointing out that Mailchimp offers thinner pricing rings, meaning that depending on how big your listing, it may sometimes be a slightly cheaper option than Getresponse.
In the database end of things, Getresponse’s pricing is pretty competitive too – you can host a database comprising 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month using Getresponse, compared to $29 with Aweber; $59 on Campaign Monitor (infinite send).
Mailchimp’s monthly fee to get a 1,000 record database will be the like Getresponse’s; and Mad Mimi supplies a marginally more affordable, if much less operational offering for $12 a month.
Two final things to be Conscious of about the pricing :
Some competing suppliers — especially Mailchimp – offer free account for users that have a small number of records (but these do not offer the entire assortment of features that you get on a paid plan).
As stated earlier, if you are ready to pay upfront for 1 or two years, you can avail of substantial discounts the other competitors don’t yet supply.
So the most important thing is that Getresponse is fairly competitive in the pricing department. However, what about attributes? Bulk Email Marketing Software India
Getresponse represents one of the more cost-effective ways to host and communicate using an email database.
It’s also one of the most intriguing products of its kind – in that it provides email marketing, landing pages, CRM and webinars all under a single roof. It’s difficult to consider any competing product that delivers this’all round’ proposition, and it’s what continues to convince us to use it to Style Factory’s email advertising.
Some developments to Getresponse do have to be made nonetheless, particularly where the email programmer is concerned – its drag and drop interface is much more fiddly and less responsive than it should be. A good deal of improvements could be made to the data capture types also, especially for consumers wishing to exhibit them on mobile devices.
And from what I gather from reader feedback, there are improvements that could be made into the service offering.
Overall though I rate Getresponse very tremendously – you get substantial bang for your dollar with this item.
Here are a Couple of pros and cons of utilizing Getresponse overall:
Advantages of Getresponse
Superb marketing automation options.
The CRM functionality integrates neatly with Getresponse’s email automation operation.
Provided that you’re happy to utilize an’Email’ plan, Getresponse is more affordable than many of its key competitors (in certain cases, significantly so) whilst offering as much, or even more functionality as them.
The discounts you receive when paying for one or two years of service are very generous – you’ll be hard pressed to find comparable reductions in prices from key opponents.
Its webinar functionality is a USP – something which isn’t provided by any similar products.
Its own reporting and thorough split testing attributes are strong.
Getresponse is clear regarding deliverability rates, publishing figures on its site and supplying deliverability data for individual e-newsletters you send.
It offers an extremely flexible approach to data segmentation – more elastic than many competing products.
It permits you to add subscribers to your mailing list on either a single-opt in and a double opt-in basis.
It transmits responsive emails and permits you to preview smartphone variations of your e-newsletters really readily.
It includes a helpful landing page founder – but bear in mind that you need to be on a more expensive strategy to get the fully functional version of this.
You can test out all of its features free for 30 days without needing to input credit card information.
Disadvantages of Getresponse
The drag and drop interface for designing mails may be a little bit on the fiddly side.
The data capture forms supplied aren’t responsive and you can not control when and in which they’re displayed on your website.
CRM functionality has to be improved substantially before it could be thought of as a substitute for a standalone CRM product.
There is a limited selection of RSS-to-HTML e-newsletter templates supplied.
You can only use’web-safe’ fonts from e-newsletters, which may make the templates look slightly less slick than those supplied by competing products.
The pricing arrangement is a little confusing, with customers having to cover something of a superior to access the landing page creator tool.
The free trial restricts the number of readers you can send messages to to 1000.
The landing page addition does not let you perform A/B tests, meaning that so as to obtain this functionality you’re forced to use a more expensive plan than you might like.
DKIM authentication is only available on the more expensive’Max’ plans.
No telephone support is provided. Bulk Email Marketing Software India
