If you’re serious about landing pages – and they are unquestionably a helpful attribute – then it’s definitely worth considering among the more expensive Getresponse plans.
You can buy the Landing Pages attribute as an add-on to get an extra $15 a month, but very frustratingly, even though the add-on allows you to show an infinite amount of landing pages to potential subscribers, it does not consist of A/B testing.
Therefore, if I was interested in the Getresponse landing page performance, I would not bother with this fairly half-baked add-on: I would just go for one of the pricier programs (which I suppose is what Getresponse would like you to do!) .

An example of how to use this operation would be as follows:
You can add a contact to a specific stage on a sales pipeline depending on the page of your website that they finished a form ;
you could then send them a automated email tailored to this pipeline period a few days afterwards;
and dependent on the action they took in regards to this email (clicking on a particular link etc) you could automatically move them on another phase of the pipeline and invite invite them into a webinar.
It is very clever stuff, and that I can’t think of any email advertising product offering this kind of tight integration between autoresponders and CRM pipelines. For this kind of functionality you normally need to appear at committed — and more expensive — CRM products like Salesforce and Infusionsoft.
However, it is not all good news about the CRM front — there are a few big things missing from Getresponse’s CRM feature set.
The most glaring omission is email activity monitoring. Other CRM packages allow you to bcc a dropbox email address whenever you send an email to some lead or customer; doing so keeps a list of this communication in the contact’s history. There’s currently no way of doing this with all the Getresponse CRM, nor is there an easy way to send one-to-one mails to prospects or clients.
And strangely, when you click on a contact within a bargain pipeline, you can not see their contact activity — i.e., the actions they’ve taken (open, clicks etc.) in regards to previous communications which you have sent to your prospects are not displayed. To see this, you need to go out of the CRM part of Getresponse, search for your own contact in the contacts section and then click on their details. But guess what? Doing this doesn’t exhibit their history.
Task management is non-existent also: Unlike committed CRM tools, there’s no way to assign tasks to other team members.
Eventually, adding contacts to a pipeline stage is difficult. You have to add contacts to a list first, then go to the CRM pipeline, include a deal and hunt your lists for the contact you just added. From a usability standpoint this is extremely clunky and time consuming. You should just be able to put in a bargain right to a pipeline and then enter the contact details of your guide or client at that point.
So as things stand, the Getresponse CRM is a bit half-baked. However, it’s a new feature and the stuff it could do on the automation aspect is remarkable. I am optimistic that this attribute gets developed over time because done right, it is possibly a game-changer for entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Getresponse recently introduced the capability to host webinars on the stage.
Given that webinars are generally used as a lead-generation tactic, the idea of getting your email database along with your webinar tool under the exact same roof is extremely appealing.
The pricing is also very aggressive too compared to established webinar solutions. Whilst its drag-and-drop approach does in theory provide a very flexible approach to make blocks of content and transfer them around an e-newsletter, in practice it’s quite clunky to use and can lead to accidental deletion of content, or placement of it at the wrong portion of the e-newsletter.
If you can get your head about it, and practice using it a bit, it does make for a useful tool – it is just that the execution of it might be somewhat better.
Also, as described above, the CRM tool could be far better from a usability point of view — adding contacts to deals can be difficult.
The 30-day complimentary trial which Getresponse supplies is completely operational and the free trial is not contingent upon providing credit card details.
This helps you avoid that annoying”oops I forgot I signed up for this particular trial and now I’m getting charged for a product that I do not use” scenario.
The only down side to this free trial is the fact that it limits the amount of readers it is possible to send to to 1000. It would be useful if this could be raised a bit, as it would help prospective users try the tool out in more’real world’ scenarios.
